Half of consumers use coupons from newspapers or magazines, according to an online shopping poll released by Ipsos Public Affairs in October 2011. Results from the poll indicate this is double the amount who report using online coupon codes (25%). The second most-used saving opportunity is loyalty card or in-store promotions, taken advantage of by 47% of consumers. Significantly fewer have used printable coupons (28%) or daily deals such (27%), although those opportunities still surpass online coupons.
